Cash App Fee Calculator

Estimate Cash App instant transfer, credit-card and ATM fees, savings interest and tax-planning amounts.

Estimate Cash App instant-transfer, credit-card and ATM fees, model savings interest, or create a simple tax-planning reserve from your own inputs.

Independent estimator. Cash App fees and savings yields can change and the exact instant-transfer fee is disclosed in the app before you confirm. This page is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cash App or Block, Inc.

Current Cash App legal terms disclose Instant Transfer as 0.5%–2.5%, with a $0.25–$1 minimum and $75 maximum. Public help/education pages may show a narrower range. Use the exact rate displayed in your app when available.

This Cash App fee calculator keeps the main Cash App cost questions on one page: instant bank-transfer fees, credit-card send fees, ATM withdrawal fees, savings-interest growth and a simple tax-planning/1099-K check. It works as a general Cash App calculator and Cash App fees calculator without applying one fee percentage to every transaction.

Cash App changes products, eligibility rules, fee ranges and savings yields over time. The calculator uses current published information where a fee is fixed, but it lets you enter the exact instant-transfer rate shown in your app because Cash App discloses that fee before confirmation and current public pages do not all show the same upper bound.

Instant Transfer Fee and Standard Transfer

Standard transfers from your Cash App balance to a linked bank account are currently free and usually take 1–3 business days. Instant transfers typically arrive much faster but charge a fee. Cash App’s current legal terms list Instant Transfer at 0.5%–2.5%, with a variable minimum of $0.25–$1 and a maximum fee of $75. Some current educational/help pages display a narrower 0.5%–1.75% range.

Because the final fee is disclosed before the transaction, the calculator provides both an official-terms planning range and an exact-rate input. This directly covers searches such as cash app instant fee calculator, cash app instant transfer fee calculator, cash app transfer fee calculator and cash app calculator fee.

Sending Money With a Credit Card

Cash App currently lists a 3% fee when you send money funded by a linked credit card. Sending from Cash App balance, a linked bank account or debit card is generally free for ordinary personal payments. The credit-card mode calculates the fee and total amount charged for the send.

ATM Withdrawal Fees

Cash App currently lists a $2.50 ATM withdrawal fee. Out-of-network ATM operators may charge an additional fee. With Cash App Green status, current Cash App materials state that qualifying customers can receive free in-network ATM withdrawals. The calculator therefore separates the Cash App fee from a user-entered operator fee instead of assuming every ATM costs the same amount.

Cash App Savings Interest

The savings mode covers cash app savings interest calculator intent. Current Cash App pages list a 1.5% base savings APY for eligible Card customers and a higher 3.25% APY with Green status. Savings yield is variable, so the calculator also offers a custom APY field.

The projection uses APY as an effective annual yield and converts it to a monthly equivalent for the selected number of months. It adds the monthly contribution at the end of each month and separates your own contributions from estimated interest.

Cash App Tax and Form 1099-K Planning

The tax mode is intentionally not an income-tax return calculator. Under current federal rules, third-party settlement organizations are generally required to issue Form 1099-K when payments for goods or services exceed $20,000 and the transaction count exceeds 200. A platform may issue a form below that threshold, and some states have lower reporting thresholds.

A Form 1099-K reports gross payments; it does not mean the full amount is taxable profit. The calculator subtracts a user-entered business-expense or basis amount and applies a tax-reserve percentage chosen by the user. Actual taxable income depends on the nature of the payments, deductions, basis, filing status, other income and federal/state tax rules. Personal gifts or reimbursements are not made taxable merely because they were sent through Cash App.

Other Current Cash App Fees

Cash App’s current fee disclosures also list a $1 paper-money deposit fee and a 3% foreign transaction fee for Cash App Card use outside the U.S., subject to applicable Green-status waivers for certain card-present transactions. These are useful reference points but are not mixed into the transfer calculator unless they apply to the selected transaction.

Why the Exact App Screen Still Matters

Cash App states that the exact Instant Transfer fee is displayed before you complete the transfer. Product pages, legal terms and account eligibility can change, so the final in-app disclosure should take priority over a planning calculator. This page is independent and is not affiliated with Cash App or Block, Inc.

Methodology and Sources

Fee rules are based on current Cash App help pages, current U.S. Terms of Service, Cash App Card/Green disclosures and Cash App Savings pages. Federal Form 1099-K context is cross-checked against current IRS guidance. The calculator avoids treating information-reporting thresholds as tax-liability thresholds because the IRS explicitly distinguishes gross payment reporting from taxable income.
