Annualize wages and estimate 2026 federal income-tax withholding, FICA and annual net income.
Annualize salary, hourly or per-pay earnings and estimate 2026 federal withholding, FICA, annual net income and common take-home equivalents.
Estimated annual income and taxes
Use this independent ADP income calculator to convert salary, hourly wages or gross pay per period into annual income and estimate 2026 federal withholding, Social Security, Medicare and annual net income. It is designed around the search intent behind ADP annual income calculator, ADP income tax calculator and ADP net income calculator queries without claiming to be an ADP product.
This page focuses on the annual view. If you need a paycheck-by-paycheck calculation with year-to-date Social Security and Medicare wage tracking, the separate net-pay calculator is the more detailed per-paycheck tool.
Convert Salary, Hourly Pay or Paychecks to Annual Income
ADP’s own paycheck guidance explains that annual income can be calculated by multiplying gross pay per period by the number of pay periods in a year. For example, $1,500 per week × 52 weeks equals $78,000 of annual gross income.
Hourly mode calculates regular weekly wages plus overtime using the multiplier you provide, then multiplies by the paid weeks entered. The tool does not determine whether a worker is legally entitled to overtime; it only performs the wage math you request.
Estimate 2026 Federal Income-Tax Withholding
The federal withholding calculation follows the 2026 IRS Publication 15-T percentage method for automated payroll systems. Filing status, the Form W-4 Step 2 checkbox, Step 3 credits, Step 4(a) other income, Step 4(b) deductions and Step 4(c) extra withholding can all change the result.
Publication 15-T was updated for 2026 and includes the current federal withholding tables. This calculator annualizes Step 4(c) using the pay frequency you select. If you validly claim exemption from federal withholding on the 2026 Form W-4, the calculator can set federal income-tax withholding to zero while continuing to estimate applicable FICA taxes.
Social Security and Medicare in 2026
For 2026, employees generally pay 6.2% Social Security tax on covered wages up to the $184,500 wage base and 1.45% Medicare tax on covered wages without the ordinary Social Security-style cap. Employers withhold an additional 0.9% Medicare tax from employee wages above $200,000 during the calendar year.
Because this is an annual estimator, the Social Security wage cap and $200,000 employer withholding threshold can be applied directly to the annual FICA wage estimate.
Gross Income vs. Net Income
Gross annual income is the wage amount before payroll taxes and deductions. Net annual income is what remains after estimated federal withholding, entered state/local income-tax withholding, employee FICA taxes, pre-tax deductions and post-tax payroll deductions.
The result also shows monthly, biweekly and weekly net-income equivalents. Those are simple annualized planning figures; individual paychecks can differ because bonuses, irregular hours, benefit timing and year-to-date wage limits affect actual payroll.
Why State and Local Income Tax Is Manual
ADP’s official calculator family supports state-specific paycheck calculations across the United States. SeriesCalculator does not embed a static 50-state and local-tax database in this module because jurisdiction rules, forms and local payroll taxes change independently. Enter your known annual state/local withholding to include it in the net-income estimate.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate annual income from a paycheck?
Multiply gross pay per period by the number of pay periods per year, then add any annual taxable bonus or other wage income. Common frequencies are 52 weekly, 26 biweekly, 24 semimonthly and 12 monthly payments.
How do I calculate annual income from hourly pay?
Multiply hourly rate by regular hours per week, add overtime wages, then multiply by paid weeks per year. Add any other annual taxable wages after that.
Is this an official ADP income calculator?
No. SeriesCalculator is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ADP. ADP is referenced because users commonly search for ADP income, salary and tax calculators.
Does this calculate my final income-tax return?
No. It estimates payroll withholding from employee wages. Your final income-tax liability can also depend on deductions, credits, non-wage income, spouse income, self-employment, capital gains and other tax-return information.
Does it use 2026 tax rules?
Yes. This release uses 2026 IRS Publication 15-T withholding schedules and 2026 employee Social Security/Medicare rates and wage limits. It should be reviewed before using it for a later tax year.
Methodology and Sources
The annualization approach is consistent with ADP’s published salary and hourly paycheck guidance. Federal wage withholding uses IRS Publication 15-T (2026), while Social Security, Medicare, the $184,500 Social Security wage base and Additional Medicare employer-withholding threshold are based on current IRS guidance.
